The full walkthrough for the auto appraisal Fisch macro — fish hotbar slot, target weight, target mutation, and the two NPC dialogue zones you need to mark.
The appraiser NPC in Fisch rerolls a fish's weight and mutation. Each appraisal resets the stats — so you can keep re-rolling a single fish until you hit a target weight or a target mutation (Shiny or Sparkling). The auto appraisal Fisch macro automates the loop: it interacts with the NPC, picks the appraisal prompt, confirms, and repeats until your target is hit.
Compared to the rest of the Fisch macro, this is the one feature that requires real setup work — there's no zero-config version of it. Worth the few extra minutes of setup if you're chasing perfect rolls on a high-value catch.
Before you open the macro's appraisal tab, do this in-game:
That's all you need on the in-game side to start the configuration on the macro side. Make sure you've already gone through the Fisch macro setup so the macro UI is loaded.
Open the Automation tab in the Fisch macro UI and select Auto Appraisal. The first field asks for the hotbar slot the fish is sitting in. Pick the matching slot number — the macro will equip the fish from that slot when it's time to talk to the appraiser.
Next the macro asks for the targets you're rolling toward. There are two:
Pick whichever combination matches your goal. The auto appraisal Fisch macro will keep rerolling until both targets are satisfied (or until you stop the macro).
This step catches people. The appraiser's dialogue actually changes after your first interaction in a session — it starts with four response options and drops to three afterwards. The macro's zone-based detection expects the three-option dialogue, so you need to manually talk to the appraiser once before you mark zones.
Press E at the NPC, then back out. From here on out, every fresh chat will open with three options instead of four.
Now open the appraiser's dialogue again with E. You'll see the three responses, one of which is "Can you appraise this fish?" In the macro, click Select Zone next to that prompt. The macro starts a 3-second countdown — during the countdown, hover your mouse over the "Can you appraise this fish?" button on screen and hold it there until the timer hits zero. The macro marks that screen location as the appraise prompt.
After you pick the appraise prompt, the NPC asks for confirmation — a Yes / No dialogue where Yes is what actually triggers the appraisal. Click the second Select Zone button in the macro, run the same 3-second countdown, but this time hover over the Yes confirmation button on screen.
With both zones marked, the auto appraisal Fisch macro can now drive the whole loop on its own.
Each time you re-open a fresh chat with the appraiser, the dialogue resets and the four-response pattern returns for one cycle. The macro is built around the post-warmup three-response pattern, so don't worry about that — once the macro is rolling, it stays in the three-response state. Just don't manually open and close the chat between rolls.
